SDJ Getting Dwarfed by Huge Development Project
Came across this picture by chance in a news article, and after some investigation found that that tiny building indicated by the red arrow is indeed SDJ today!
But look at how it is now being dwarfed by the mammoth development project just a stone throw away. The Astaka, which comprises hotel, residences, shopping mall, cinemas, etc, will soon be the neighbours of SDJ. The great thing is that SDJ is still there standing, but for how long? Nobody know. It may have to make way for another skyscraper project, and be moved elsewhere.
Let's pray they keep it there for eternity.

Meeting in a Junior's Wedding
In one of our SDJ junior's daughter's wedding we found opportunity to get together again, something we need to do often at our golden age. Another great and happy moments as the team of Ching Soo Kum, Ang Ngee Tee, Hor Kay Kok, Tee Kai Ming and Mau Heng were seen having a good time. Someone that looked like Teh Beng Liang was also noted. There are some unidentified drinking object which I hope someone can provide more details for me to update here. Ha ha !

Kenny Lim's Mission to Australia Accomplished
Kenny's mission to Aussie Land was of course to meet up with as many old friends as possible. And here you see these wonderful friends and SDJ74 members, having a great time down under.
These photos were taken about 3 hours before publishing here, so they were fresh from the oven. Those who had seen the photos in WhatsApp were full of envy and admiration. We have Eric Ho commending "Forever Young. Awesome". Paul Wong's reaction was "Lovely friends and lovely food!", and Ngee Tee responded, "Young and distinguish!".
Kenny's own words, were more subdued and more towards reality, and that is food :) , "home cooked food in Melbourne". Clearly he enjoyed the food there very much. And what a very satisfying journey for him too, as he concluded with the message, "mission accomplished".

Happy Birthday Cheam Heng Teng
The only one among us, whose birthday falls on a double-seven dated (7-7-2017). In fact, you can see there is another 7 behind the year 2017. Maybe a good idea to make him a big cake that looked like "77" in shape when he celebrates his 77th birthday.
Anyway, Cheam is preserving himself well, as you can see his youthfulness in the picture taken a week ago from this blog publication. We certainly looking forward to many more great years ahead, and wish him full of health, vitality and happiness with every birthday. Happy Birthday, Heng Teng!

Revisiting the SDJ School again in 2017
Three of our SDJ74 group members visited the school yesterday, and got a roaring welcome from the school's current principal, teachers and students. They were shown around the school by none other than the warm and friendly Principal himself. The students were made to line up and kissed their hands one-by-one, which of course is quite disgusting, but then its the latest fad in our new SDJ. Below are some memorable pictures taken by the team.
Later in the evening, they also had a re-union dinner at the New Lucky Restaurant for a holy great time. Most of us had not met Wai Tuck for 40+ years, so this is indeed a milestone dinner.

Catching Up With Some School Mates
If you haven't seen Ronnie Seah, Tay Meng Choo, Chee Miu Leng, Pang Kwong Tik, Woo Kim Liong, and Tan Jiok Saw, then here you can catch them all in one video having dinner, during Kim Liong's family transit via Singapore. Dinner at Liang Kee Restaurant @ Tiong Bahru, Singapore.
The outstanding discovery was that, our Tay Meng Choo has certainly grown younger and prettier than I last saw her. Hope for more such surprises from you guys in the near future!
Happy Birthday to Johnny Teh Beng Liang
Among our friends who never seem to put on weight, Johnny Teh Beng Liang must the champion. He looks as young as he was some 40 years ago. In this great day, let's hope he has got many happy returns, and maintain his youth while celebrating another year on planet earth. Enjoy your day to the fullest, Johnny!

Happy Birthday to Steven Chong
Happy Birthday To Steven Chong
Our Taichi and Kungfu master celebrates yet another healthy and peaceful year. With each passing year, this ever good looking gentleman seemed to be growing younger by the day. The secret had to be the Kungfu he is practising.
I urge you guys who are still doubtful about Kungfu's benefits, to approach Steven and get a few tips from him. Or better still make his your Kungfu Teacher. It is certainly worth it, if you keep growing younger and younger after sparring with Steven. Enjoy!
